Clinical Roots x Creative Vision

At the center of every life transition, every "juncture", lies an untapped reservoir of strength. Founder and Lead Therapist, Xixi (pronounced “Cee-Cee”) is a Counsellor and Creative Arts Therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate these crossroads, moving beyond traditional conversation to harness the transformative power of the creative process.

With a foundation in Health Sciences (Addictions counselling) and a Masters in Creative Arts Therapy (First Class Honors), Xixi provides a safe, structured environment designed to go beyond the limits of traditional talk therapy. Whether untangling complex emotions through visual journaling or finding clarity in the tactile nature of art materials, the goal is to bypass the "noise" of the logical mind and tap into a deeper, intuitive knowing.

Why Creative Arts Therapy?

Often, the experiences that shape us most are the ones that remain difficult to put into words. Within Xixi’s practice, art is viewed as the third person in the room. In the process of creating, the artwork begins to speak, presenting its own forms of knowing that transcend logical thought. This allows for the externalization of heavy emotions and the exploration of new perspectives in a tangible way. By witnessing what the art reveals, a way forward is created, even when the path ahead feels unclear.

Professional Foundation

Every session is informed by a diverse toolkit of evidence-based practices. From the practical strategies of CBT and DBT to the expansive possibilities of Creative Arts Therapy, the work remains strictly client-centred and strengths-based. By integrating cultural models and mindfulness, Xixi ensures a holistic approach to wellbeing.

Having operated in the therapy field in New Zealand and Australia as a registered practitioner since 2016, Xixi supports individuals through life’s most challenging seasons. The practice is grounded in clinical expertise and fueled by a steadfast belief in the infinite potential of the human spirit.
